Pressure Relief Valve (PRV)

A pressure relief valve or PRV is a safety device calibrated to release or “pop” when a specific pressure is reached, venting gas to atmosphere. It is used to avoid overpressure damage in a system containing a compressed fluid. Pressure relief valves are required by many jurisdictions.
